Maxar is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to join a team of multi-discipline, multi-INT analysts developing innovative, front-line products that provide actionable intelligence for decision makers in the field. This Geospatial Analyst role provides technical support to customer projects involving dynamic geospatial information to include social media and foundational intelligence data. Key types of analytics expected will be fusing multiple sources of information into key findings, and geo-temporal pattern-of-life analysis to provide insight to customer requirements. This position will assist in the implementation of emerging capabilities, using leading edge technologies to perform analysis and derive information from large geospatial data sets. Diversified healthcare and investment options including multiple medical plans, a stock purchase program and 401(k). Responsibilities: Gather requirements, determine scope, and estimate hours needed to develop and deliver custom geospatial analytic solutions to our government customer
Produce custom information layers derived from social media and other open-source data sources using COTS and proprietary software
Collaborate daily with cross-functional internal and external team members and occasionally third party vendors, sometimes as project lead, and other times under other team member leadership
Identify and implement improvements to system designs and processing methodologies to improve efficiency, scale, reliability, and mitigate operational risk
Maintain production line operations and other tasks as needed to satisfy customers and fulfill contractual commitments
Advise, train, mentor, and learn from other team members on technical topics
Write procedures, methods, workflow documents and standard operating processes Required Qualifications: US citizenship with a current/active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of experience GIS, remote sensing, or certification/degree in Geospatial Analysis
3+ years experience with SIGINT, all-source, or imagery analysis
Experience ESRI software - ArcGIS, ArcPRO
Experience with data management, and data visualization techniques
Must be willing to work on customer site Preferred Qualifications Scripting experience with Python, GDAL, ENVI IDL, and/or ArcGIS Model Builder
Master's degree in Information Technology, Geographic Information Science (GIS) or Academic discipline applicable to supporting information development for Special Operations Forces activities and planning. Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $64,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually.
