Summary This is a hands-on software engineering position in the unmanned aerial systems group. You will design, develop, test, and integrate real-time simulation for the UAS trainers. This is a hands-on, full life cycle software engineering position for software engineers who desire to grow their skills and career beyond traditional boundaries while creating enduring solutions for a truly meaningful purpose. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The primary responsibility of this position is supporting the UAS platform. Job duties include product deployment, integration, and support of UAV applications. The position is focused on product feature design and development utilizing the latest technologies and concepts. Candidate should be a fast learner with very strong analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to carry tasks through to completion with only general technical direction. Candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced agile team-oriented environment. Qualifications and Education Requirements US citizen able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related engineering, science, or math discipline
Programming skills, C, C++
Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Exceptional communications skills
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Preferred Skills 1-2 years experience in a software engineering field
Experience with real-time and distributed systems
Understanding of Configuration Management and Version Control Tools (git, Perforce, etc.)
Understanding of agile software development
