Come build your career with BAE Systems. BAE Systems is seeking an experienced New Product Introduction Manager to join the Precision Strike and Sensing Solutions Business Area Operations Team. This talented technical expert will work across the Precision Strike Portfolio leading cross-functional teams to mature the Advanced Manufacturing Strategy and will be functionally responsible for a talented NPI team. Through collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and others, the individual will own the development and execution of the Precision Strike Manufacturing Roadmap, identify and lead strategic manufacturing IRADs, and provide recommendations for capital investments. The individual will also be the primary point of contact to liaise with the Sector wide Factory Workplace of the Future (FWoF) Initiative, inclusive of deployment of robotics and automation technologies to create a foundation of highly agile, low cost, high volume production for electro-mechanical and munitions technologies. The individual will be responsible for the execution of the New Product Introduction (NPI) strategy and alignment with the AS9145 APQP initiative. Project Management and Cost Account Management experience is preferred. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Functional Management of a NPI team including staffing assignments and developing employee skill/career growth Communicating with Product Line Leads and Business Area Leadership to understand and deploy personnel resources according to product/program need and resource capability
Management of Strategic Manufacturing Roadmaps
Identifying, Prioritizing, Facilitating, and seeking funding for Manufacturing IRADs
Improving existing manufacturing capabilities to prepare for next generation products
Deployment of the NPI Strategy in alignment with the AS9145 APQP process. Management of NPI execution metrics and owner of tactical execution to the NPI process Partnering and collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain throughout product life cycle
Driving a producible architecture in early product life
Understanding of cost drivers and how to mitigate them through advanced manufacturing techniques. Mentoring manufacturing personnel across the Precision Strike Product Portfolio Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills BS in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 10 + years of work experience. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing methods and cost improvement activities. Highly effective team player able to self-manage priorities, schedule, and projects. Must be self-motivated, independent, and an effective communicator. Must be a US citizen eligible for a DOD security clearance and will be subject to a security investigation. Previous functional management and leadership experience. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $127900 - $217400 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
