United States Naval Test Pilot School Experimental Flight Test Instructor Sign-on bonus and relocation stipend available. KBR is seeking a United States Naval Test Pilot School Experimental Flight Test Instructor to support taking at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) for the United States Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS) in Patuxent River, MD. As part of the world's largest independent flight test organization supporting both U.S. Government and commercial agencies, you will be joining a highly talented and experienced KBR aircrew services team that has provided over 40 continuous years of Test Aircrew support for NAVAIR. Position Description/Job Responsibilities: Serve as an Experimental Flight Test Instructor in the Rotary Wing, Fixed Wing and/or Airborne and Unmanned Systems (AU) departments.
Works within the USNTPS environment composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight test instruction. USNTPS currently operates thirteen types, models, and series of aircraft.
Provides all aspects of flight test instruction in support of current curriculum requirements and will work as part of the team in educating aviators and engineers in the design, risk management, execution, and communication of aircraft and systems testing for combat. Requirements/Qualifications: For employment in the Rotary Wing or Fixed Wing department, the candidate shall be a graduate of one of the following test pilot schools: USNTPS, USAFTPS, ETPS or EPNER Test Pilot School.
For employment in the AU department, the candidate should be a graduate of USNTPS, USAFTPS, ETPS or EPNER.
The aircrew candidate shall be experienced specifically in complex, modern integrated aircraft systems.
For employment in the RW or FW department, a minimum of 1000 flight hours as piloting aircrew is required and must be able to pass the physical and training qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of survival and aviation physiology training.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills in technical report writing. Education Requirements: This position requires a technical/engineering bachelor's degree, at least three (3) years of related experience, including at least two (2) years of test-oriented experience and maintenance of an FAA Class II medical certificate. Preferred Requirements/Qualifications: Recent experience (within 3 years) as an Airborne and Unmanned Systems tester
Understanding of current mission systems test techniques.
At least one (1) year of in-flight instructor experience or UAS instructor experience.
A master's degree.
A minimum of 100 hours operating Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) aircraft in the last two (2) years.
The candidate should have a military test and evaluation background. Security Clearance Requirement: Able to obtain and maintain secret level security clearance.
