Job Number: R Vehicle Test Engineer and Test Manager
Key Role: Perform mission-critical test engineering and program management functions to support our clients in the Army. Be responsible for the development of the programs test and evaluation strategy, approach, process, schedule, and resource requirements. Develop Detailed Test Plans (DTP), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and Test Incident Reports (TIRs) with Failure Analysis and Corrective Action Reporting (FARCAR). Perform developmental and operational testing and manage the implementation of an evaluation methodology and framework for product and system under test. Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new and modified products or product components and investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups and guide and direct junior personnel on the set-up and performance of tests. Review and analyze system performance against requirements for the application and integration of improved designs into the system. Oversee the day-to-day management of test activities at major test sites, including resolution of test execution issues, chairing of daily test update meetings, management of test representatives, and tracking of test progress. Integrate program management processes to align with engineering standards and perform effective execution and compliance with established program decisions. Leverage experience with ground vehicle performance and vehicular testing to help transition vehicles into the hybrid and electric vehicle space. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a test engineer, including vehicular testing Experience with ground vehicle performance, RAM tests, and developmental and operational testing Experience in working with DoD programs involving military vehicles Knowledge of government test sites, AR 73-1, the TEMP process, cyber security tests, and live fire testing Ability to develop clear and comprehensive DTPs, TRRs, and TIRs and to provide timely and accurate reporting status Ability to travel up to 25% of the time Ability to obtain a security clearance Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mathematics Additional Qualifications: Experience with program management, resource management, and developing and reporting programmatic cost, schedule, and performance of test and evaluation programs Knowledge of DoD systems engineering test and evaluation processes Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles within the DoD space Knowledge of DoD acquisition and testing processes Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills Possession of excellent leadership skills Secret clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD).
