Provide technical support to CRSRA (Commercial Remote Sensing Regulatory Affairs) and its radar technology domains. As a trusted CRSRA Advisor, you'll work with CRSRA colleagues and other United States Government agencies to preserve essential U.S. national security interests and international obligations by assuring licensee compliance with the law, regulations, and license terms. CRSRA's compliance and monitoring activities preserve, protect, and promote the interests of the United States and the Department of Commerce in discharging its responsibilities under law and regulations. Work Model: This is a full-time position located in Chantilly, VA, requiring 4 days/week onsite. What You'll Be Doing Employ and develop sophisticated simulation tools to perform space payload and ground processing designs in support of architecture concept trade studies, requirements verification, analyses-of-alternatives, and performance modeling. Studies will focus on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Moving Target Indication (MTI), maritime surveillance, and electronic warfare.
Act as a technical expert for a portfolio of high-impact projects, engaging in team projects to collaborate with other experts and provide enterprise solutions

Engineering innovative and sophisticated Radar and SAR solutions for the latest space applications Architecting SAR antenna, payload, and sensor performance for mission success Designing SAR image formation processors to improve product quality and investigate innovative applications of advanced radar products Model target RF signatures for exploitation applications
Characterizing performance to support program acquisition, planning and maturation Partnering with technical experts across multiple disciplines to explore innovative solutions to critical national missions This position is available as a Senior Member of Technical Staff or Project Engineer What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements: Senior Member of Technical Staff Bachelor's degree from an accredited program inEngineering, Physics, Mathematics, Geophysics, or related technical discipline
At least 3 years of professional experience working with RF technologies
Technically adept with MATLAB or Python
Desire to learn signal and/or image processing
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or collaboratively
Willing to travel domestically/internationally approx. 5 % amount This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. Willingness to submit to a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph for Top Secret/SCI access Project Engineer Same requirements as a Senior Member of Technical Staff noted above, in addition to: Master's degree from an accredited program inEngineering, Physics, Mathematics, Geophysics, or related technical discipline
