Mission Technologies, a division of HII has a need for a Lead Engineer who has experience with Unmanned Aerial Systems. This opportunity will support the design and implementation of software programs and analytical schemes for shaping developmental efforts for sensing, tracking, and engaging rockets, artillery, and mortars. Essential Job Responsibilities Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Observe, measure, and collect measurements of data from equipment operations, ballistics flights, flights of both manned and unmanned fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.
Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Minimum Qualifications 15 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Master's in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
5 or more years of experience with quick reaction capability development and knowledge of engineering impacts on rapid acquisition processes.
Must have experience designing and implementing software programs for manned and unmanned systems.
Experience with the development, deployment, and operation of integrated systems of systems for identifying, tracking, and engaging aerial targets.
Clearance: An active SECRET security clearance is required.
Physical Requirements Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
