Mission Technologies, a division of HII has a need for a Technical & Scientific Lead Engineer who has experience with Unmanned Aerial Systems. This opportunity will support the design and implementation of software programs and analytical schemes for shaping developmental efforts for sensing, tracking, and engaging rockets, artillery, and mortars. Essential Job Responsibilities Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Conduct simulation of tactical events across the full spectrum of Live, Virtual, and Constructive simulation systems.
Collaborate with all levels of personnel regarding simulation techniques regarding different points in the acquisition cycle and discuss the limitations of particular simulations for validity and prediction.
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Minimum Qualifications 20 years relevant experience with master's in related field; 10 years relevant experience with Ph.D.or Juris Doctorate in related field.
20 years of experience in the use of military radar systems, and networked Command and Control systems that translate sensor data into combat information.
Demonstrable knowledge of the science of ballistics, information theory, and feedback response, development of Kalman filtering and/or other statistical smoothing techniques to clarify sensor data and all real-time and near real-time categorization, classification, and identification of a wide range of aerial objects.
Clearance: Active SECRET security clearance.
Physical Requirements Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
