Perform as an electronics technician: fabricating, installing, and troubleshooting vehicle platform systems. This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of DCS's team at the Ground Vehicle Systems Center group located in Warren, MI.
Essential Job Functions:
Install, and subsequently troubleshoot, sub-systems into various vehicle platforms.
Test and troubleshoot sub-systems and complete assemblies.
Perform field support of deployed electronic systems.
Independently fabricate wire harness assemblies, RF cables harnesses, and/or electro-mechanical assemblies.
Perform Independent verification of assemblies.
Assist the development of production processes for first-time production runs.
Other duties may include performing electronic assembly operations (eg. mounting electrical components), maintaining inventory records and logbooks, and performing physical configuration audits.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
High School / GED and 4 years of experience in an electronics technician position, or An AS degree or technical school and 2 years of experience.
2 years of recent wire harness builds (with Military Spec connectors).
2 years of experience using laboratory test equipment.
Able to stand for long duration of time, kneel, bend, independently lift up to 50-lbs, and move mobile equipment as a team.
Must have experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Office programs, and web-database applications.
Must have or be able to obtain a DOD clearance (minimum interim Secret).
Desired Skills:
AS degree or technical school.
Class C School in electrical or electronic repair.
Experience with Military Vehicle Platforms.
