Role Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy engineering, with a particular focus on energy production, energy consumption studies, and electrification. This role involves working closely with our energy programs, utilizing Excel-based models and other analytical tools to drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct energy production and consumption studies, focusing on electrification and sustainability.
  • Utilize internally developed Excel-based models for energy program analysis and improvement.
  • Perform technical distance studies for utilities and electrification studies to assess and optimize energy usage.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for buildings, ensuring energy systems are optimized for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement energy-efficient solutions for various projects.
  • Experience with eQUEST software for energy modeling and simulation is highly desirable.
  • Utilize knowledge of Visual Basic to enhance and customize energy models and analysis tools.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation on energy study findings and recommendations.
  • Support project implementation, from design to construction administration, ensuring adherence to energy efficiency standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in energy engineering, with a focus on energy production, electrification studies, and energy efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with internally developed spreadsheets for energy modeling.
  • Knowledge of eQUEST, Trace or similar energy modeling software is a significant plus.
  • Experience with LEED and other green building standards.
  • Depth of knowlege of Building and Energy Codes
  • Familiarity with Visual Basic for application customization and model development.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct comprehensive energy studies.
  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
