Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Traffic Engineer to work in Birmingham, Alabama.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings for traffic engineering projects under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Will work with design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SignCAD, Synchro, CENTRACS, and other applicable programs.
Will work with microsimulation software such as VISSIM and Synchro or TransModeler to create traffic models and simulations.
Research and analyze emerging technologies such as connected vehicles, automated vehicles, adaptive signal control technology, and communications networks.
