We've got what you're looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Information Security Engineer to join our team! The Cybersecurity Engineer provides cybersecurity engineering and information assurance services to ensure networks are properly secured and support compliance and risk management. They work in close collaboration with the TENCAP E3I mission support staff performing all aspects of Cyber security work. They support the acquisition of hardware and software capabilities used to develop, engineer, prototype, test and accomplish systems integration for counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) supporting the TENCAP E3I mission. What You'll Be Doing: Acquire, develop, integrate, produce, field, and support hardware and software capabilities in accordance with ICD 503, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, DoDI 8510.01 and supplementary guidance provided by the cognizant Authorizing Officials
Implement and maintain all aspects of cybersecurity engineering support in accordance with all Federal, DoD, Component, and Agency-specific security initiatives
Implement all phases and aspects of the DoD accreditation/certification policies and procedures for DoD IT during the entire lifecycle for all systems and environments
Monitor, evaluate, obtain, and apply cybersecurity-related list services such as IASE and ACERT portal, and alerts/notifications from authoritative organizations such as RCC, DCO, the U.S. Army NETCOM, and ARCYBER
Apply the RMF process to system instantiations on NIPR, SIPR, JWICS information systems, NSANet and other networks as required
Support the government by providing information needed for input, assessment, and update of security controls into the appropriate management systems of record (e.g., eMASS)
Develop a Cybersecurity Strategy Plan
Develop and maintain a program Architecture and Technology Roadmaps by incorporating evolving cybersecurity requirements and emerging technologies to comply with the DoDAF What Required Skills You'll Bring: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
A Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 15+ years of work-related experience OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of work-related experience.
In lieu of a STEM degree bachelor's degree, a minimum of 20 years of work-related experience is required.
15 years' experience planning, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer operating systems and networks, component architectures, application development, and/or data management processes and technologies - the successful candidate must understand the fundamental technical components, processes, and interactions of enterprise-level information systems in both on-prem and cloud environments.
Demonstrated experience providing security support for application systems (not just networking and infrastructure) in both on-prem and cloud environments. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Cybersecurity-relevant analysis experience (basic host and/or network analysis experience)
Cybersecurity certification (Sec+, CISSP, Net + etc)
Familiarity with Space or Weapons system development, sustainment, and security operations
Experience with Cybersecurity Assessment a plus.
Experience in computer network defense, software, and standards used across DoD would be beneficial
Experience in reducing risk to DoD systems, fixing systems of highest importance, hardening systems in development, and crypto resiliency.
