DCS Corp is seeking a dynamic, team oriented, energetic, and customer focused Technician to help support our Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) customers onsite the Army's Warren, MI location. This opportunity would be embedded within the Durability Test Lab and have you working alongside their team of Project Leads, Engineers, and Technicians to conduct experiments that test and characterize physical parameters on military vehicle systems and components. You will be responsible for providing the day-to-day operation, setup, execution, and maintenance to the test rigs and equipment used to support the lab.

Essential Job Functions:

Setup and monitor tests according to Lab Engineer requirements, specializing around the hydraulic shakers

Conduct all test setups for assigned capability area

Test monitoring and progress reporting to Lab Engineer

Preparation of test item

Plan, track, and execute scheduled maintenance on capability area

Plan, track, and execute scheduled equipment calibration verifications

Design fixtures and test apparatus to meet testing requirements

Test fixture fabrication

Plan, track, and execute an inventory management plan for assigned capability area

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required

HS diploma with seven years of relevant technician experience / Associates degree in a technical field and Five years of relevant technician experience

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Knowledge and ability to design, develop, fabricate, setup, maintain and modify laboratory apparatus, and layout of test fixtures

Knowledge of measurement techniques, instruments, transducer theory, and applications for improving existing methods

Experience with a variety of shop machines and tools

Experience in the operation and upkeep of vehicles and equipment

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition

Knowledge of hydraulic systems

Experience with operating lift/hoist equipment
