We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Associate specializing in Building Enclosures to join our growing team. As an integral member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in the design, construction, and maintenance of building enclosures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse array of projects and collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building evaluations, forensic review, and building envelope design.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, evaluation, and renovation of building enclosure systems including roofs, walls, windows, and waterproofing.
- Conduct forensic investigations and architectural reviews of building enclosures.
- Develop and review construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Provide technical expertise in building science, including moisture management, thermal performance, and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure the highest quality of construction and compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Conduct field inspections and on-site performance testing to verify compliance with design specifications.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, findings, and recommendations.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in building enclosure design, forensic review, and building evaluations.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Registered Architect (RA) designation is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of building codes, standards, and building construction processes.
- Proficiency in using Revit, CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for field inspections and client meetings.
