Job Summary
The Ellison Institute of Technology is seeking a talented and passionate Advanced Cell Culture Specialist to join its Cell Line Team (CLT). The CLT plays a critical role in supporting the institute with cell culture training and optimization, 2D and 3D cell culture models and relevant characterizations. At EIT, the CLT is often at the forefront of the development of new cells lines from primary tissue and new cell-based assays. The CLT, due to their high expertise, often helps execute research project assays and are involved in the subsequent data analysis. These research projects span broad focus areas that include tumor microenvironment, biophysics, and multi-scale imaging. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing a biorepository of patient-derived samples including native tissues, maintaining ongoing cell cultures, and executing research project assays with data analysis, and assisting the CLT manager in supervising day to day activities of the team.
The candidate will use their cell culture expertise and research background to independently design, implement, and optimize cell culture protocols and procedures in 2D and 3D cell culture models. The ideal candidate is collaborative with experience in managing and mentoring a dynamic team.
