Job Details

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by accurately assessing costs and providing detailed estimates.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong negotiation skills and a background in construction estimating to contribute to our success.

  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project scope and requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
  • Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
  • Utilize software tools such as Accubid for quantity takeoffs and cost calculations
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget - Collaborate with project management team to develop cost control strategies
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction estimating Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
  • Proficiency in using estimating software tools such as Accubid or similar programs
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Solid understanding of contract documents, including NEC (National Electrical Code)
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with project management processes and methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
