Job Details

Role Overview:

The Chief Estimator will be responsible for overseeing all estimating activities to ensure precision, competitiveness, and profitability. You will work closely with our project managers, engineers, and field personnel to provide detailed and accurate electrical estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop the estimating team.
Review and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
Produce detailed and accurate estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
Engage with suppliers and subcontractors for quotation requests.
Analyze and mitigate risks during the bidding process.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure smooth transition from estimate to project.
Continually review and implement best practices in estimating procedures.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the electrical contracting industry.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of five experience in electrical estimating, with preferably two in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with estimating software Conest or Accubid.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
