Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to provide support to the Undersea Defensive Warfare Systems Program Office (PMS 415) at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC! You will provide direct engineering and project support for Navy counter-measure defense systems that include the Compact Rapid Attack Weapon (CRAW), Submarine Launched Unmanned Aerial System (SLUAS), Non-Traditional Acoustic Communications (NTAC), and Revolver Multi-Payload (MP). Responsibilities: Provide Engineering support to Undersea Defensive Warfare Systems, PMS 415, including General Engineering, System Engineering and Process Engineering, System Design Documentation and Technical Data, Configuration Management (CM), Engineering Change Proposal Management Support, and Configuration Review Board.
Support the engineering effort required to prepare, develop, research and deliver technical data, briefs and documentation as well as provide the technical inputs for the translation of operational requirements to design parameters documented in system and interface specifications.
Participate in the planning, scheduling, coordinating and documentation of new component and system testing and evaluation; coordinate with program stakeholders to develop and coordinate the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).
Conduct system/technical requirements analysis in support of budget, planning and execution tracking as well as brief development.
Assist in the development and application of scientific and analytical disciplines to conduct fundamental research to include the development, analysis and evaluation of concepts, technologies, systems and subsystems; and the development of operational concepts and tactics to support new or improving existing warfighting capabilities.
Participate and support internal and external meetings and briefings.
Interface between Program Office and various stakeholders and assist the Program Office in responding to internal and external inquiries. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience supporting military clients in engineering
Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills for both technical and business-related matters.
Excellent communications and analytical skills.
Experience with DoD/Navy program management, engineering, Government technical management, or Industry business / technical management.
Understanding of DOD acquisition process.
Experience supporting the US Navy or active-duty Navy experience is strongly preferred.
Active Secret Clearance.
Travel: Less than 10%. Work Location: Vicinity of Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC (with limited telework possible of 1-2 days per week).
