Description: NSI requires an Operations Officer to provide project analyst support to the multi-Mission tactical Unmanned Aerial System (MTUAS) team. The Operations Officer (Ops-O) will provide support to the AIRWorks Portfolio lead for MTUAS and supporting daily activities with the AIRWorks (AWX) MTUAS Integrated Project Lead (IPTL) in directing daily operations of the MTUAS IPT. The MTUAS Ops-O is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the MTUAS Team that is now completing Developmental Test getting ready for Operational Test. The MTUAS Ops -O will support all facets of the IPTL in helping the team stay on track to execute OPEVAL. Job Functions: Supports coordination and build of various briefs, RFIs, and responses to SOCOM in support of the MTUAS program. Project activities that allow the project spend plan and other financial aspects of the project to be executed.
Ensure that the MTUAS Functional Leads are providing inputs to the projects financial and schedule managers so that these requirements are status to support the project as directed by the IPTL.
Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Helps in ensuring acquisition strategies and acquisition documentation are being develop, updated, or maintained.
In some cases, analyzes requirements, management of teammates, technical, or business case analyses. Collects, completes, organizes, and interprets data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs. Tracks program/project status and schedules. Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management. Location: Patuxent River, MD Education: BS or BA degree preferred. Allowable Substitution: Bachelor's Degree 6 years' additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associate's Degree plus 4 years 'additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Experience: At least three (3) to ten (10) years of experience applying analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Skills:
• Prefer familiarity with NAVAIR terminology.
• Familiarity with requirements documentation.
• Ability to communicate well in team environments.
• Good organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
