We're Hiring: OBD Solutions Engineer

Project Purpose: Join our team to deliver, validate, and maintain on-board diagnostic (OBD) solutions for powertrain technologies. Your work will be essential in meeting global diagnostic regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver Reliability and Robustness Documentation (DFMEA, P-Diagrams, Boundary Diagrams, Calibration Guidelines, Diagnostics Operations Summary, Fault Demonstration Methods).
  • Perform diagnostic routines, report findings, and provide recommendations to enhance system reliability and durability.
  • Conduct HIL/SIL, on-road, emissions, and/or dynamometer data collection to validate and calibrate diagnostic monitoring capabilities of new powertrain technologies.
  • Identify and assist in resolving OBD issues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Author scripts using Matlab, Python, and/or other scripting languages to analyze system/diagnostic behavior and support the calibration process.

Experience Required:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive product development.

  • Required:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Proactive and works well independently.
    • Good team player.
    • Proficiency in Excel and Matlab.
  • Preferred:
    • Working knowledge of product development system engineering principles.
    • Understanding of basic combustion engine operating principles.
    • Knowledge of basic controls engineering principles.
    • Familiarity with OBD regulations (EPA and CARB).
    • Experience with calibration development tools.

Additional Information:
  • Hybrid work arrangement.
  • Pay rate: $40-42 per hour.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
