Engineering Technician 4 KBR is proactively looking for an Engineering Technician 4 to assist our Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) team with the test, evaluation, and execution of new installations at Webster Field in St. Inigoes, MD. This is an SCA position, 30084. In this Role, You Will C-sUAS Engineering Technician performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations. Follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments; technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non-routine work may also be reviewed in progress.
Follow specific instructions, assemble or construct simple or standard equipment or parts, and may service or repair simple instruments or equipment.
Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
Prepares test specimens, adjusts and operates equipment, and records test data, pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
Extracts engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources; processes the data following well-defined methods, including elementary algebra and geometry; and presents the data in the prescribed form.
Understanding of and the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot sophisticated electronic components, including, but not limited to, Servers, Network Switches, Power Supplies, RF Antennas, and electronic enclosures.
Additionally, working with C-sUAS Operators and leadership from the U.S. Navy and other stakeholders to troubleshoot/identify outages and execute mitigating actions will be required. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Clearance: Current/Active Secret Clearance OR the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Citizenship: Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required. Experience : 2+ years of work experience. Education: A n AS degree in Engineering Technology or a related field OR a military technical training program or completion of a technical institute program OR Candidates with a High School Diploma/GED must have 4 additional years of work experience. Desired Experience: Experience with Microsoft office products.
Ability to move, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
Ability to travel on a frequent basis (75%) to locations CONUS and OCONUS.
Familiarity with Group 1, 2, and 3 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
