Job Summary
Manages or supports assigned phases of major projects including site development, permitting support (air, water, state, local, etc ), scope development, major contract negotiations, engineering, procurement, and construction contracts, construction activities, commissioning and transition to business unit operation. Supports development and management of all aspects of project budget and schedule. Involved in major complex projects including new commercial facilities (Class A office new build, renovations, field support facilities, parking garages), industrial facilities (business park development, warehouses, electrical buildings, data centers, fuel storage, compressor stations), infrastructure projects (microgrids, roads, bridges), generation and decarbonization projects (LEED/SITES certified buildings, solar generation, electric vehicle charging, plant control rooms), manufacturing facilities, environmental projects (demolition, abatement, site remediation, stream restoration), and other major complex projects.
Facilities Project Manager I
Capable of executing a portfolio up to $25M. Multiple complex projects that include large and small projects that require hiring multiple contractors. This includes leading internal teams from multiple disciplines and departments including business unit customer construction, operations, external affairs, corporate communications, legal, environmental, risk management, IT, CIS, and financial analysis. This position will have Non-Dominion Energy Workers reporting to them.
Facilities Project Manager II
Capable of executing a portfolio of $25M-$50M. Multiple complex projects that include large and small projects that require hiring multiple contractors. This includes leading internal teams from multiple disciplines and departments including business unit customer construction, operations, external affairs, corporate communications, legal, environmental, risk management, IT, CIS, and financial analysis. This position will have Non-Dominion Energy Workers reporting to them.
Facilities Project Manager III
Capable of executing a portfolio of $50M-$100M. Multiple complex projects that include large and small projects that require hiring multiple contractors. This includes leading internal teams from multiple disciplines and departments including business unit customer construction, operations, external affairs, corporate communications, legal, environmental, risk management, IT, CIS, and financial analysis. Supports a Program(s) or Business Unit(s) in strategic planning, including securing funding through executive level business cases, presentations, and reporting. The Project Manager 3 is capable of mentoring other junior team members in aspects of project initiation, development, and execution. This position will have Non-Dominion Energy Workers reporting to them.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Facilities Project Manager I: 0-2 years of demonstrated project management experience.
Facilities Project Manager II: 2-3+ years, as well as the above experience.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Facilities Project Manager III: 5+ years, as well as the above experience.
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines:Building and Construction or Construction Management.
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Preferred: Facilities Maintenance Professional (FMP), General Contractor licensure, Project Management Professional Certification, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), LEED Certification (LEED Green Associate).

- Knowledge of relevant engineering principles in civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural projects and related technologies.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Facilities Project Manager III: 5+ years, as well as the above experience.
- Familiar with LEED building practices.
- Fully proficient in site safety, environmental, and construction requirements of facility construction project practices, in accordance with Dominion Energy policy and local and state regulations, permitting, legal, and code requirements.
- Fully proficient in Dominion Energy's SAP finance system and budget management practices.
- Ability to manage projects generally between $1 million - $20 million (e.g. new construction, greenfield construction, full office renovations).
- Ability to work with Real Estate and Environmental groups, reviewing potential new land and property acquisitions for new construction.
- Ability to develop high-level project estimates.
- Ability to resolve contractor performance issues and manage conflict effectively.
- Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums.
