Summary You will serve as a Management Support Specialist (Human Capital Liaison) in the Oceanographic Dept. Unmanned Sensor Operations Center of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Duties You will provide key assistance to USOC managers and supervisors in facilitating the performance of their management responsibilities. You will assist NIAs Civilian Intelligence Personnel Human Resources Office on a variety of substantive, procedural, and policy matters. You will provide a limited range of routine staffing administrative services including coordinating human capital required actions. You will assist with analysis and evaluation of administrative procedures and requirements for organizational efficiency and productivity. You will make recommendations for procedural or guidance improvement in various areas. You will perform as a Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) for USOC by reviewing Defense Travel System (DTS) submissions for accuracy and completeness. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Provide liaison and technical assistance to personnel on human capital required actions, functions and concerns to resolve personnel, pay, and leave related issues and problems; 2. Review travel authorization submissions in a travel system for accuracy and completeness and track travel related expenditures within the established travel budget; 3. Research, gather, analyze, and maintain information within an information management system or database.
