SNC is seeking a skilled and motivated Reliability and Maintainability Engineer. If you like solving complex logistics related engineering problems using your analytical skills, this is the opportunity for you! As a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer, you will perform detailed reviews and analysis of test, engineering design, safety, manufacturing process, reliability and maintainability to identify and document maintenance and support requirements and utilize logistics modeling techniques to predict maintenance levels and costs. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product life cycle. This includes overseeing the reliability & maintainability effort for a program, being the subject matter expert for reliability and maintainability engineering design, and direct interaction and engagement with the customer. You'll also review engineering requirements, recommend tool and test equipment, establish calibration requirements and assist in the design and development of maintenance engineering and logistics support for engineering projects. Responsibilities: Leading the reliability & maintainability engineering effort
Performing reliability prediction calculations, management, and performance measurements
Producing critical item lists and reliability maintenance plans
Supporting testing and analysis needed to generate MTBF results
Supporting Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System processes
Developing all program Reliability & Maintainability CDRLs
Advising Engineering on all aspects of reliability and maintainability engineering
Communicating status of the reliability and maintainability engineering program to the customer Must-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams Advanced understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
Advanced analytical skills
Extensive knowledge of Reliability Availability Maintainability (RAM) processes
Experience independently executing functional responsibilities for small to medium sized programs
Experience with creation of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and maintainability analyses (MTBF, MTTR, etc.)
Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative reliability and maintainability analyses Preferred: Ability to independently execute functional responsibilities for large programs
Understanding of Military Specifications and Standards
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Experience improving reliability and maintainability through design changes, fault detection, usage restrictions, and training
Experience with Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS)
Experience writing analyses to meet regulation- or customer-driven requirements
Experience tailoring analyses or requirements to fit size, complexity, schedule, and budget of program Estimated Starting Salary 144 287.69 USD Annually SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
