SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the overall turnkey design, installation, checkout, commissioning, and troubleshooting using detailed company guidelines for service projects. The role serves as a bridge between the internal design team and the field installation team. Collaboration, communication, and customer service skills are integral to the success of a person in this role in addition to an advanced understanding of HVAC, and energy management systems. Customer support skills are expected up to a moderate complexity of system and software issues. As an individual progresses through this career path his or her ability to delegate and effectively empower coworkers and manage subcontractors in the field are integral to his or her success in this role. Demonstrating control and awareness of how projects are progressing against the project milestones for both task completion schedule and finances.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
  • Review all design drawings to ensure their accuracy per job scope and/or plans and specifications
  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractors on related projects
  • Directs field team on installations and commissioning
  • Manage jobsite safety program
  • Validate hardware and project installations with correct documentation
  • Install, replace, and recommission devices, equipment, and software
  • Create and update system pages
  • Prepare customer training manuals and provide customized training to customers as needed
  • May diagnose communication problems and install control devises and other components
  • May diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues
  • Participate in field audits and related analysis, results, and performance assurance of installed systems
  • Assist in modeling, setting of targets, and monitoring EMS as well as analyzing energy usage and BAS to maximize energy savings and optimize BAS, and present the results effectively
  • Conducts final customer acceptance walkthroughs and handles all appropriate documentation
  • Ensure completion and delivery of all as-built drawings and O&M manuals
  • Material procurement as required
  • Assist in manpower planning and scheduling
  • Other duties may be assigned


QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • 2-4 years reated work experience required
  • Advanced Understanding of HVAC, Building Automation, Energy Management or other building electronic control systems
  • Schneider Electric and outside vendor hardware knowledge required
  • Basic network infrastructure and network communication systems.
  • Proficient in software applications including but not limited Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Advanced understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings and symbols
  • Ability to analyze and modify system drawings and schematics
  • Advanced understanding of jobsite safety procedures and best practices
  • Leadership skills: team building, empower and delegate authority, ability to build rapport and consensus
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong experience in project documentation processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to the ability to relate technical terminology to customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization
EDUCATION:

Four-year (4) degree in a related technical field or related work experience

However while on job sites individuals may have to move over rough or uneven surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy to light items. Transporting of items such as a laptop computer and luggage; driving an automobile, etc. Also, t ransporting of items such as system equipment and installation materials may be required.
