We are seeking a seasoned Aerospace/Defense Program Manager with 10-15 years of experience and a strong engineering background, particularly with experience in unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Government Contract Management: Manage all aspects of government contracts, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with regulatory requirements and deliverables.
Proposal Development: Support the business development team in the creation of proposals for government contracts, leveraging your technical expertise and industry knowledge to help craft compelling and competitive bids.
Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of project managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in the public and private sector, understanding their needs and requirements, and ensuring that deliverables exceed expectations.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum and minimize disruptions.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term project roadmaps and business strategies aligned with company goals - developing and transitioning projects out of R&D and into production.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aero/Mechanical/Electrical/Software, or related field preferred.
Experience: 10-15 years of progressive experience in aerospace/defense, with a proven track record in project management and government contract management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in UAS/drone technology, with hands-on experience in leading design, development, and testing.
Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Government Contract Expertise: Experience managing government contracts, understanding regulatory requirements, and ensuring all documentation and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
