As a Planner III, you will plan, and schedule the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through our production and inventory process. You'll monitor production activity to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials timed to meet our production requirements, troubleshoot potential scheduling problems, provide solutions to less complex problems, and track production and material deficiencies and implementing the master production plan through the material management system to execute the program and product life cycle. This role specifically will satisfy the parts requirements for all program functions. To achieve this end, the material planner will exercise sound judgment and supply discipline; process requests based on priority, coordinate with procurement group, initiate procurement actions when alternate sources fail to provide assets, provide status of requisitions, manage reports and listings, and maintain accurate accountability of spares and equipment. The Material Planner will track the expected delivery dates to ensure assets are delivered on time. Follow-up actions will be taken on all past-due delivery dates to ensure accurate dates are reflected our software tracking tool. The Material Planner will monitor those assets destined for processing. A higher level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Experience with the engineering change process
Knowledge of master production planning
Understanding of and the ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
Experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations Management
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR)
Prior experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and /or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance is required
