R- Description Leidos is hiring a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst to work with a Government-Contractor team providing a near real-time, geospatially accurate Common Operating Picture (COP) to support mission requirements. This COP enables sharing and reuse of geospatial intelligence across multiple function areas in support of military operations. The Geospatial Intelligence Analyst will support systems responsible for processing, exploitation, and dissemination of multi-discipline and multi-sensor intelligence, mapping, and weather information to weapon system platforms and Warfighters. Primary Responsibilities List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities. Analyze geographical data, work collaboratively with other team members, and understand and communicate GIS theories, applications, technologies, and concepts. Utilize GIS techniques and tools to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given geographic location. Gathers and maintains imagery from various sources, such as satellites, geospatial data, and remotely controlled vehicles. Collects information from imagery using electronic, mechanical, and optical devices in real time, near real time, and after missions. Determines dimension, location, and coordinates of items of interest as well as distance from other items. Identifies gaps in current intelligence gathered and prioritizes subsequent collection requirements. Performs various types of analyses, including geospatial, topographical, imagery, and imagery derived measurement and signature intelligence analysis. Inspects terrain and structure of area of interest and pinpoints possible usability issues. Perform finishing of remote sensing data, updating cartographic data from intelligence databases and producing mission specific data sets. Develops and distributes imagery intelligence reports, briefings, and products - Present relevant information in an understandable way in meetings and presentations. Basic Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree (Geographic Information Science, computer science, cartographic science, geology, social science, environmental science or related technical field) and 2 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 0 years of experience. 4 years work experience OR Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree - Excellent research, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills. An active secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required for this role.
