Description
The Sustainability Manager - Industrial Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify and prioritize sustainability initiatives that reduce environmental impact, improve resource efficiency, and support corporate responsibility goals.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Monitor changes in environmental laws and regulations, and adjust company practices accordingly.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead efforts to improve energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction in manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to implement sustainable manufacturing practices.
- Manage initiatives for recycling, waste management, and the use of sustainable materials.
- Work with the procurement and supply chain teams to promote sustainable sourcing practices.
- Engage with suppliers to assess and improve their environmental and social practices.
- Develop and maintain supplier sustainability standards and guidelines.
- Monitor, track, and report on key sustainability metrics such as carbon footprint, energy usage, waste reduction, and water usage.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Communicate sustainability achievements and challenges internally and externally.
- Develop and implement training programs to educate employees about sustainability practices.
- Promote a culture of sustainability across the organization.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives that support sustainability goals, such as volunteer programs or green teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, NGOs, and community groups, to support sustainability initiatives.
- Represent the company in sustainability-related forums, conferences, and industry groups.
- Identify emerging sustainability trends and technologies that can be applied to the company's operations.
- Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing the company's sustainability performance.
- Benchmark company performance against industry best practices and standards.
Profile
The ideal Sustainability Manager - Industrial Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, ISO 14001).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Job Offer
The successful Sustainability Manager - Industrial Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $90,000-$130,000 depending on experience
- Bonus
