We've got what you're looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System, Deputy Program Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office of Security Technology, Systems Integration and Monitoring Branches mission (through the OSIS II contract) of providing protection from the Unmanned Aircraft System threat to Department personnel and facilities globally. What You'll Be Doing: Develop strategic vision in the ongoing refinement of a robust C-UAS program strategy, encompassing cutting-edge technology, policies, procedures, and training protocols. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements to maximize the program's effectiveness.
Oversee all facets of the C-UAS program, including strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management. Monitor program performance, track milestones, and implement proactive measures to ensure the successful achievement of program objectives within designated timeframes.
Provide visionary leadership and guidance to a multidisciplinary team of C-UAS professionals, including engineers, test analysts, and operational staff. Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages open communication, teamwork, and professional growth opportunities.
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as government agencies, law enforcement entities, industry partners, and relevant organizations, to establish and nurture productive working relationships. Actively participate in collaborative efforts to identify emerging C-UAS technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
Stay at the forefront of C-UAS technology advancements, assessing their suitability for integration within the program. Assist in the conduct of thorough evaluations of vendor proposals, and feasibility studies, and coordinate the procurement and seamless integration of C-UAS systems and equipment.
Oversee the development and implement comprehensive training programs to equip personnel with the necessary knowledge of C-UAS technologies, operational procedures, and threat mitigation techniques. Promote heightened awareness across the organization regarding the evolving nature of unmanned aircraft threats and the criticality of proactive countermeasures.
Ensure strict adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing C-UAS operations. Generate detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on program progress, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
Minimum travel required is approximately 15 -30% including visits to high-threat areas. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Refer to Job Description for Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
Project management professional certification desired. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in program management, preferably within the U.S Government, aviation, or security sectors, with a focus on C-UAS or related technologies.
Demonstrated success in overseeing complex programs, from initiation to completion, delivering on objectives within timeline constraints.
In-depth knowledge of C-UAS technologies, including sensor systems, radar technologies, electronic warfare, and other advanced mitigation methods.
Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards governing unmanned aircraft systems and airspace management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset to anticipate future challenges and identify innovative solutions.
