Program Systems Engineering Product Owner with Security Clearance

Job Description 5-D Systems, a KRATOS Company, is a growing defense contractor headquartered in Round Rock, TX with over twenty years' experience providing systems and software engineering for Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Systems Engineering Technical Support to Government Program Offices. 5-D Systems, a KRATOS Company, is seeking a highly motivated candidate in support of our customer located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, who will serve as a Program Systems Engineering Product Owner supporting the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems. This position works with both contractors, government civilians and system operators.The PO will support the team in development of feature documentation, MEI and CSCI behavior models, and acceptance criteria to provide guidance for software implementation. The PO will report on status, risks, blockers, and team capacity to program management. An MBSE approach is used to document the features using an Agile workflow. Experience and Skills US Citizenship
Ability to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US Secret security clearance.
Resident of the Huntsville, Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field is required
10 or more years of systems engineering experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Tactical command and control systems
Tactical weapons systems
Tactical sensor systems
Software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages
A record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment
Must be comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment and be wiling to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure that software is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users
Must be highly organized with a strong technical background in systems engineering principles
Other Qualifications: Systems engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program
Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF are desired
