As Director of Supply Chain Program Management ("SPM"), you will lead a team of SPMs who act as the Program Manager's representative to manage the Cost, Technical, and Schedule aspects of the Business Area's major subcontracts. You will ensure a standard of service for the SPMs you assign to Programs. Your organization will be responsible to create the Program-level Supplier Management Plan guidance document, including strategy, structure, roles reporting responsibilities and communication plan. You'll drive and improve the development of the supply base. You'll oversee the development of material schedule needs of Programs to ensure the total supplier content is delivered on time, on budget, and meeting the technical specifications. You will ensure the SPM organization provides skilled SPMs based on program and company demands, drive strategic directives for departmental plans as well as guide decisions based on functional objectives and priorities. You'll shape a higher level of supplier accountability for performance and sustainability, and guide system and functional integrations of supply chain strategy and execution. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Significant experience acting as a Program Manager for complex Aerospace and Defense programs
An engineering degree or a strong understanding of technical Aerospace and Defense technologies
Thorough knowledge commodity, category and sourcing management
Experience managing manufacturing timelines and requirements
Demonstrated competency of supply chain management processes, techniques and compliance
Excellent negotiation strategy skills
Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
Mastery of the ability to drive innovative thinking, lead and inspire your team, instill collaboration, challenge status quo, manage complex situations, delegate authority, and demonstrate ability to adapt to dynamic situations
Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, and strategic thinking
Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to interpret technical requirements
Ability to navigate change and uncertainty, make defensible decisions in ambiguity and own those decisions
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Typically 10-12 years of relevant experience; 7+ years demonstrated experience with supply chain activities, particularly procurement/purchasing Higher-level degree may substitute for required education Demonstrated passion for ideation, intellectual curiosity, and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose Proven long-term and strategic perspective that extends beyond the immediate initiatives; visualizes and articulates a clear direction Team oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets Estimated Starting Salary Range: $161,826.39 - $222,511.29. SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
