In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers.

We are currently hiring a Senior Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Engineer to join the SI&T organization located in Tucson, AZ. The Senior SI&T Engineer is a key program role that is accountable for key decisions throughout the life cycle of the program which affects our competitive position and executability. Senior SI&T Engineer operates through coordination across all other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) among disciplines in the development, integration, and test phase of the program.

The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience rapidly prototyping, testing, and verifying Fixed Wing Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where requirements are being actively defined and evolving. They will work collaboratively with leadership and across disciplines to define test strategies, knowledge points, test plans, and hardware utilization matrix, plan, and coordinate test events to control integration and test costs and maximize test coverage, perform hands on integration and tests, and develop test reports. They will coordinate with test facilities and make critical decisions regarding test strategies, venues, and scenarios. This will require that the Senior SI&T Engineer work across the Raytheon business to leverage company technology and resources needed by the program. They will need to be well organized and have excellent communication skills to coordinate all aspects of integration and test events.

Responsibilities to Anticipate
  • You will apply extensive hands-on integration and test experience with Fixed Wing UAS rapid development to creatively develop test strategies that maximize test coverage within cost and schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in defining, planning, coordinating, and conducting test and verification events for Fixed Wing UASs.
  • Stay abreast of development schedules to plan and coordinate technology integrations and test events.
  • Conduct test readiness reviews, after action reviews, and participate as needed in customer engagements.
  • Ensure test configurations and events are carefully controlled and documented.
  • Capture, track, and ensure the resolution of findings from test events.
  • Estimate, track, and communicate cost, schedule, and risk in support of test planning and execution.
  • You will influence the architecture of the system, establishing processes, and align RMD program leadership, office the of chief engineer, and multiple IPTs.
  • You will Interact and coordinate with customer test community stakeholders.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 (five) years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience working in cross-disciplined teams in a technical capacity.
  • Prior experience with conducting UAS trade studies, UAS system development and design, UAS systems requirements development and management, and UAS system integration and test.
  • Prior experience Fixed Wing UAS rapid development integration and testing.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt decision-making style based on the situational circumstances.
  • Experience working effectively in highly collaborative environments, a demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and lead technical efforts spanning multiple stakeholders and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as customers.
  • Experience in Digital Engineering or Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Familiar with Export license creation and export compliance to support international flight test activities.
  • Experience with weapon system Integration onto vehicle platforms.
  • In depth knowledge of US Army military operations and doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF).
  • Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
