We are seeking an experienced Materials and Processes (M&P) Engineer to help us build and lead an M&P team that handles composite process development/maintenance, material non-conformance disposition, and vendor qualification efforts as well as corrosion prevention guidance for metallic structures. Access to walking and biking trails Responsibilities: Development of new process documentation for process dependent materiel systems (typically composite laminates and 3D printed materials)
Maintaining/Updating previously developed material process documentation
Supporting vendor qualification to established processes
Providing guidance to direct programs as the SME for materials and processes (typically including composite fabrication, composite defect disposition, and corrosion prevention/surface protection of metallic structures) Must-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Full understanding of and experience with the practical application of Materials and Process requirements
Experience with Material and Process (M&P) specification development
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams
Experience developing test plans for evaluating the performance of materials
Ability to write test reports describing key inputs and outputs of material characterization testing along with supporting data analysis
Working knowledge of composite laminate process controls
Working knowledge of corrosion prevention of metallic structures
Familiarity with aerospace structures
Familiarity with aerospace certification
Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Technical writing skills
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance Preferred: FAA certification experience (Part 25 and 23)
Military certification experience (MIL-HDBK-516)
Experience with Cyanate Ester resin systems
Experience with Carbon, E-Glass, and Quarts material systems
Knowledge of resin transfer molding Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38.
