In this role you will have great latitude to establish and perform the Test Program for a new UAS product. We're seeking experienced UAS Test pilots, Safety Test pilots, and Test Engineers to support the test and operations of SNC's Uncrewed System that will be fielded across the globe. You will support internal and external project efforts by developing test procedures, identifying key test activities and milestones, safely operating and testing a UAS, verifying conformance to requirements, working with all other engineering groups to identify and resolve design flaws and deficiencies. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber. Responsibilities: Perform UAS flight tests
Document Test results
Lead UAS test programs
Design and write Test procedures
Ensure safe UAS operations
Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines
Participate in the design, development, and testing of prototype UAS systems, including hardware and software components
Develop test procedures and protocols to validate and verify the functionality and performance of UAS systems and subsystems
Execute validation and verification tests, analyze results, and generate reports to demonstrate compliance with project objectives Must-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of experience
Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Advanced Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration
Demonstrated experience planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
Experience with Unmanned systems test programs
Experience in creating and executing flight test plans
Unmanned Systems Flight operations
Flexibility in schedule and ability to travel
Strong Leadership skills
Independent self-starter work ethic
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Preferred: Knowledge of UAS operations in National Airspace, and regulations thereof. Current FAA 107 RPIC certificate
Private Pilot license with FAA Class 3 medical
UAS Flight Instructor experience (Minimum of 3-5 years) providing training and instruction to flight test engineers, operators, and other personnel
Prior UAS flight test experience (as an Engineer, or Operator), including stick time on small to medium sized UAS in manual mode (Including fixed wing, HVTOL, or rotary wing UAS)
Demonstrated proficiency in the flight test operations, including pre-flight checks, data collection, and post-flight analysis SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
