Title:
Software Engineer Active TS/SCI Clearance Required KBR is seeking Senior Software Engineers to work on a multi-discipline team that supports various government customers in the Washington Metropolitan Area in the fields of photogrammetry, remote sensing, computer vision, and statistical analysis. Responsibilities/Job Function: Work with a team of photogrammetrists, systems engineers, and software developers to implement mathematical models of remote sensing collection systems.
Assist in the development of prototype applications for the processing, integration, and exploitation of new remote sensing data sources.
Assist in the development of software to assess and process data from new and existing systems and architectures (e.g. pushbroom, point scanning, motion imagery, and step stare mechanisms) to help develop an in-depth understanding of the differences and limitations of software and system implementations and enable effective comparisons of the options.
Assist in development of software tools to validate sensor models and data collection systems.
Assist in the development and testing of advanced algorithms.
Design, implement, and integrate software applications into working prototypes or deliverable applications.
Utilize software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environment.
Ensure efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Minimum Qualifications Mandatory Security Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position (e.g. computer science, math, or engineering)
Experience utilizing multiple programming languages and development tools (e.g., C/C++, C#, Java, NetBeans, Visual Studio, and MATLAB)
Experience in developing applications and algorithms using data collected from remote sensing systems.
Greater than 12 years of experience on similar tasks Desired Qualifications Advanced Degree in related discipline (e.g. computer science, math, or engineering)
Previous experience in sensor modeling for remote sensing systems.
Experience working in photogrammetry, remote sensing or computer vision.
Strong background in linear algebra preferred
Experience in coding photogrammetric processing such as resections, bundle adjustments, and ray intersections.
Experience with SAR Systems and data is beneficial.
