To learn more about Mission Technologies, click here for a short video: Job Description Mission Technologies, a Division of HII is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will provide research, planning, design, development, testing, and evaluation to the Weapons Storage and Security System (WS3) Service Life Program (SLEP). This opportunity requires an active secret security clearance is will be located at Kirtland Air Force Base. Essential Job Responsibilities Support research, planning, design, development, testing and evaluation of mechanical components, systems/subsystems, and products for defense systems.
Assist with establishing design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.
Analyze engineering issues through simulation and/or analysis to recommend component substitutions or redesign solutions.
Provide support in maintaining and improving the design of existing mechanical components, systems/subsystems, and products including identifying, analyzing, and resolving obsolescence issues.
Gather, compile, and maintain technical data such as test results, engineering design changes, engineering drawings, and engineering documentation.
Minimum Qualifications 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
5 years of experience designing, developing, building, analyzing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems.
Clearance: Active SECRET security clearance required.
Physical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
