To learn more about Mission Technologies, click here for a short video: Job Description Mission Technologies provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide. Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Test Engineer with a software background to develop test plans and procedures and execute those plans for software developed for a combat system training system. The Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) and the follow-on Advanced Training Domain (ATD) are the US Navy Combat System Training tools installed on over 120 ships and multiple shore facilities. The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending upon assignments and other factors. Essential Job Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
• Produce test plans, test procedures, test assessments, recommendations, analysis of training systems and supporting functions.
• Generate, review and comment on test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Support engineering activities including requirements tracking, design reviews, and audits.
• Conduct simulator tests in accordance with approved procedures and document results.
• Analyze software requirements to develop test cases and test procedures. Minimum Qualifications
• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or similar technical degree.
• Three (3) years of experience as software test engineer.
• Three (3) years of experience in data analysis.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and technically accurate manner.
• Security + Certification within 3 months of hire
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Requirements
• Knowledge of software requirement tracking tools (DOORS, etc) and network test tools (Wireshark, etc).
• Working knowledge of Aegis and SSDS Combat Systems.
• Experience supporting complex systems within a Family of Systems (FoS) containing multiple interfaces.
• Familiar with the Agile product lifecycle with applicability for test.
• Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Innovative problem solving and debugging skills.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks through self-directed time management and organization.
