Computer Scientist ( UAS Embedded Systems) Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Type of Travel: CACI has an exciting opportunity for talented computer scientist to provide military capabilities analysis on foreign ground forces required by warfighting commanders, the force modernization and research and development communities, DoD, and National policymakers. Our team supports the DoD's assessing foreign systems including firmware and software to identify vulnerabilities. Primary Job Responsibilities: Comprehensive research and analysis focused on foreign UAS software, firmware and/or embedded software.
Analytical efforts will leverage available threat system intelligence to characterize the capabilities and identify vulnerabilities of a foreign UAS.
Identify customer requirements, Intelligence Community (IC) priorities, intelligence gaps, collection opportunities, and new technology or system developments to plan analytical products.
Develop intelligence products and performs expansive intelligence analyst duties.
Possess a thorough understanding of intelligence analytic concepts and open-source software to monitor, assess, and report on unmanned control software; knowledge of embedded software is a must.
Develop reports and briefings.
Develop analytic approaches and recommendations to problems and situations for which data are incomplete, controversial, or which no precedence exists. Required Qualifications: Combination of software development and/or computer science/software engineering background to gain detailed understanding of UAS software, firmware and/or embedded software.
Knowledge of embedded software is a must.
Knowledge or experience with unmanned control software.
Experience with open-source software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to function independently and within a teamed environment.
Attend analytical tradecraft training during onboarding - Implement analytical tradecraft on the job. Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of unmanned aerial systems and related devices. Previous work within the intelligence community. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
