Responsibilities:
Oversee the development of charging & energy products embedded software
Define software architecture and work with the systems team and product management to ensure software requirements are clearly defined and traceable
Act as a key technical reviewer of all embedded software under development
Support the development and utilization of automated software in the loop, hardware in the loop and powered test systems
Collaborate with peer software teams on the enterprise-wide operating system and product to cloud data integration
Act as the technical program manager for the team to plan deliverables and ensure timely delivery of programs
Evaluate developers performance and identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement
Establish and update processes and tools to manage how embedded software is developed, tested and released
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
At least 10 years' experience developing embedded software for consumer and industrial applications
Strong background in embedded systems, C/C++ and embedded Linux
Experience developing software system architecture
Experienced with the use of the Atlassian product suite (Jira, Confluence)
Experience as a software technical program manager or equivalent experience running programs as a technical manager
Track record of working on products from concept to serial production
Proven experience implementing new software development strategies that elevate team performance
Strategic thinking capability and ability to translate high level strategy into actionable and traceable objectives
Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to collaboratively work with and influence cross-functional departments both internally and externally
Strong communication, multitasking, skills, both in presentation & technical writing
Prior people leadership experience is preferred
Experience with requirements management tools (such as Jama) is a plus
A technology background in electric vehicle charging, stationary storage or Renewables power conversion is a plus
