Context:
We are currently seeking a Track Design Lead to join our team here in Saudi Arabia. You will be part of the Engineering Services Design team and will be responsible for supporting with engineering aspects of design and maintenance work for railway infrastructure track assets.

Missions/Main Duties:
Produce track design solutions.

Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to develop design requirements and deliver integrated solutions.

Provide technical advice based on a collaborative whole-of-asset focus to ensure best for business outcomes.

Provide technical advice for rail infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.

Support the training of engineers and CAD designers.

Produce and review technical documentation, specifications, standards and instruction

Undertake detailed track engineering design including track geometry, ferry rail deck and interface, track components and materials.

Undertake peer review, and approval of track engineering designs prepared by internal or external parties.

Scope design solutions, including undertaking site inspections and survey.

Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to develop design requirements and bring about consensus on proposed solutions.

Attend incidents and provide engineering support to recover from an incident.

Review and support the development of technical documentation, specifications, standards and instructions.

Liaise with and support the management of engineering consultants.

Ensure that all technical standards and requirements are met unless otherwise approved

Deliver design training and supervision to engineers and CAD designers, providing technical guidance and mentoring.

Support the development of asset management strategies for rail infrastructure assets.

Collaborate with the business to assist in setting the strategic direction of asset management.

Develop and recommend strategic asset management options based on scenarios which balance cost vs. risk vs. levels of service.

Prioritise asset maintenance needs.

Identify required capital works in conjunction with Operations/project managers.

Maintain records and asset databases as required as part of maintenance and design processes

Review, update and develop Client's technical standards.

Provide quality assurance in line with the Client's requirements.

Undertake and review investigations into asset and process failures.

Undertake, and liaise with field staff in, the inspection of track assets.

Review compliance reports

Profile/Skills:
At least 10 years' experience producing design solutions in an engineering environment.

Experience with AutoCAD or Bentley design systems.

Proven ability to bring stakeholders together on a proposed design solution.

Project management and contract management experience.

Railway track delivery experience
