Title:
Senior Radar Scientist KBR is seeking a Senior RADAR Engineer (12+ years of Experience) to work on a multi-discipline team that supports various government customers in the Washington Metropolitan Area in the fields of photogrammetry, radargrammetry, computer vision, remote sensing, and statistical analysis. Responsibilities/Job Function: Work with a team of photogrammetrists, computer vision scientists, systems engineers, and software developers to implement mathematical models of remote sensing collection systems.
Assist in development of sensor models for new data collection systems and methods.
Assist in the testing, evaluation, and comparison of new geospatial collection systems.
Assist in the development of new algorithms for the processing and exploitation of radar data
Analyze, design, test and evaluate systems that handle Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data through the TCPED process
Conduct analysis of alternatives and provide recommendations related to the insertion of new RADAR technology,
Provide technical assistance in the development of new standards for geospatial data. Minimum Qualifications Mandatory Security Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI w/CI Poly
BS or higher degree in Engineering, Science, Imagery Analysis, or related STEM degree
Senior-level experience (12+ years) with SAR and GEOINT data.
Senior-level experience (12+ years) to include guidance, consultation, facilitation, and thought leadership in such fields as:
SAR image formation and exploitation
Interferometry and point cloud generation
Photogrammetry
Triangulation
Image registration and fusion
Geolocation and relative mensuration
Working knowledge and ability to design performance testing, to verify and validate radar-based algorithms
Working knowledge of specific SAR phenomenology and/or other existing or emerging GEOINT sources or applications, exploitation methods, and analysis techniques.
Ability to prototype algorithms in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, C#
Strong oral and written communication skills Desired Qualifications MS or higher degree in Engineering, Science, Imagery Analysis, or related STEM degree
Experience in the SAR discipline of GEOINT analytic tradecraft designing and testing algorithm performance
Experience working in the DoD/IC
