The Program Finance Manager is a leadership position, responsible for the overall leadership and financial stewardship for the Tactical DataLinks (TDL) product are within the Adaptive Communications and Sensing (AC&S) product line within the Command, Control, Communications and Computers Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems (C4ISRS) business area of BAE Systems Electronic Systems sector. With annual revenue approaching $200m and significant growth expected over the 5 year planning period, the TDL product area is a major contributor to AC&S. The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership to a team of finance professionals at all career levels, actively contribute to the strategic positioning and operational execution of the business, and serve as an integral member of both the TDL product area and Finance leadership teams. This role will be performed in a Hybrid remote format, with the individual splitting their time between working on-site at our Wayne, NJ offices, and remotely. To be considered for this role, applicants must reside within a commutable distance of our site in Wayne, NJ. Relocation assistance will be considered. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Lead a team of finance personnel located in Wayne NJ, including the recruitment, retention, training, development and optimization of a workforce that can successfully deliver and adapt to the evolving needs of the product area and dynamic business environment in which it competes, and to achieve the strategic and annual performance objectives of the organization.
Responsible for making improvements of process, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are complex and may require comprehensive information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem. Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues, job areas, or specialties. Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues.
Deliver a broad range of finance and business services in support of new business capture, contract execution, investment, financial reporting and analysis and compliance and controls.
Influence the development of proposals to ensure program execution risks and opportunities are identified and mitigated or secured to the extent possible through the formulation of effective bid and contract terms and conditions in partnership with program office counterparts.
Ensure that the needs of all internal and external customers are met, and that the goals and objectives of the company, business area and product line are fully supported and achieved.
Interface with business area and product line leadership teams, as well as other key personnel and stakeholders as required. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or Masters' Degree and equivalent experience.
Experience in leading, developing, recruiting and retaining high functioning, diverse teams.
Experience in strategic proposal development, navigating and influencing successful outcomes on complex business issues, development & review of financial forecasting and demonstrated understanding of financial compliance and controls.
DoD Contracting experience
Earned Value (EVMS) reporting (at minimum, individual must understand Earned Value concepts).
Establishing cadence for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial cycles
Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a changing environment.
Ability to partner with all functions.
Secret Clearance - or at minimum, ability to quickly obtain it shortly after starting in role.
Pursuant to a specific U.S. Government contract, selected individual must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
Self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner with minor supervision.
Experience with a financial forecasting system, such as Hyperion.
Experience with a financial ERP system such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, or SAP
Experience with Earned Value Management tools, such as Cobra
Experience working with various contracting vehicles and program types. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $128100 - $217800 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
