SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Environmental Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring environmental management and compliance on an active LNG construction site. Your primary purpose will be to work collaboratively with the Construction team to deliver quality environmental outcomes and to adhere to regulatory standards. This position will be based at the RGLNG Project Site in Port Isabel, TX.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Environmental Specialist is charged with performing a wide array of tasks related to environmental compliance at the RGLNG Project site. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Implement programs and procedures to assure the compliance of the construction site with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Conduct site inspections: Involves physically walking construction sites to observe stormwater BMP's and implementation of approved Erosion and Sedimentation Control plans and permit requirements
- Inspect environmental performance and address any potential violations and concerns
- Complete and organize all written reports documenting observations and action items needed
- Communicate observations with project personnel to expedite a response plan for needs or concerns
- Maintain and track compliance obligations
- Develop and deliver environmental training
- Educate site staff on permit requirements
- Prepare and submit required environmental reports to regulatory agencies in a timely and accurate manner
- Work with various Contractors to ensure environmental compliance
- Audit project plans and requirements (e.g., stormwater, SPCC, waste, air)
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum experience required for the position:
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Preferred experience on FERC regulated project and experience with TCEQ
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal and State requirements for LNG Terminals
- Well versed in stormwater, SPCC, and waste
- Experience with compliance management systems to track and trend compliance tasks and commitments
- Proficient use of Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Teams, SharePoint and digital cameras, scanners and printers.
- Must have strong written and verbal skills (English language)
- Ability to communicate with various disciplines including Construction, Craft, and Engineering and teams

Work Environment
- Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
- Operates in a complex construction environment.
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
- Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.
- Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
- Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.

- Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required.
- Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, including being physically capable of traveling to a designed muster point during emergency situations.
