DevOps Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining continuous integration/continuous deployment systems in an environment with a mix of cloud, and on-premises systems, as well as physical devices. You will need to work independently, and be able to evaluate approaches, explain trade-offs to the team, and recommend practical solutions iteratively.

1. Job Knowledge and Skills:

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience in modern CI/CD practices including installing, modifying, handling, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools

Bachelor's degree preferably master's or PhD

Experience setting-up automated test frameworks, and extracting metrics and results

Experience with Docker

Experience with container orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)

Experience with configuration management systems (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc.)

Experience evaluating and integrating third party analysis tools (e.g. performance monitoring, security)

Experience configuring and troubleshooting Linux servers

Familiarity with AWS

Experience working in an agile environment

Bonus Points

Experience in autonomous vehicle space

Additional Notes
Project: Finished vehicle logistics Autonomy FVLA - in general - Parts come off production line - drive to different areas - This is a work process that they want to automate

Car come off production line and drive themselves to wherever they need to go

Plug a piece of equipment in to control, sensors along the way to tell them where the vehicle is, and software to tell the car where to drive

Software development lifecycle

Dev Ops engineer - build out the infrastructure that allows the compute instances that control the vehicle and all other types of systems,

Build out multiple environments, initialize on demand, shut them down

Traditional Dev Ops skill set - used in a standard Dev Ops way, maintain web based components, and also in a more unusual way - in the cloud, activate vehicle

Linux systems all the time

Set up automated test framework, orchestration system, config management system, don't need all listed, but experience in one or more and can offer suggestions

AWS is cloud computing system. This is a must have experience. Experience not familiarity
