Overview:
SRI International's Advanced Imaging group delivers unique state of the art imaging products for a variety of demanding applications that spans commercial spectroscopy instrumentation to custom space qualified focal planes for solar, planetary and terrestrial remote sensing applications. SRI maintains a state-of-the-art products portfolio that includes real-time video processors, integrated video and sensor exploitation solutions, and instrumented training systems for government and commercial sectors.
This position will work onsite in our Princeton, NJ office.
Responsibilities:
The co-op will configure and run laboratory equipment to accurately measure Electro-Optic performance of cameras and/or sensors, document test procedures, write simple Labview control programs, and compile test data for review. The intern will also have the opportunity to learn about CCD and CMOS imaging sensors and EO Test Equipment.
Qualifications:
Current Stevens Institute of Technology student available for spring co-op cycle starting January 2025.
Working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering or a related field. Course studies should include Semiconductor Devices/fabrication, Optics, or Computer Programming.
Due to government requirements candidates must be a US Citizen
Familiar with common test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators
Previous experience in a laboratory environment
Strong PC skills
Desired skills:
Knowledge of imager characterization tests
Knowledge of Electro Optic Principles and concepts with applications to imager and camera testing
Knowledge of Labview, Matlab
The salary range is: $20-$30/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
