The Facilities Controls Engineer I, will support the facilities engineering and operations teams. They are responsible for supporting management and implementation of existing or new building controls by utilizing self, team, and contractor abilities. They will also focus on development and sustainability of the mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, Chillers, Air Compressor, Utilities)
Responsibilities:
Manage BMS (Building Management System) specification, design, and operation
Develop and implement strategy to complete BMS installations
Collaborate with other Facilities associates to standardize a unified approach
Support training of other engineers with shared responsibilities
Determine and prioritize project tasks, develop project schedule to achieve project s final goals on time, within budget
Communicate critical updates to site system operators
Support training of FAC Associates on enhancements to operations related to controls and mechanical/electrical systems
Support operation of Facilities mechanical and electrical systems assure that building controls systems meet capacity and reliability requirements of the customer
Lead meetings and negotiate with customers and contractors of all levels and capabilities
Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers and contractors
Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to support replacement of facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL)
Project responsibilities for Budget, Scope of Work, Bid, Award, Design, Engineering, Permitting, Construction, and Close-out, along with contractor management
Lead and/or support in the bidding, evaluation, and selection process of contractors for the design and construction phase of a project
Review, verify and approve engineering/design drawings at the various design completion levels
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (in Mechanical, Controls or Electrical) or Equivalent related controls experience
1 to 3+ years of relevant working experience in a Controls/Project Management/Facilities Capacity preferred
Knowledge/skills:
Knowledge of: National Electrical Code (NFPA 70); Electrical power distribution components and systems
Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
Strong knowledge of continuous improvement systems
Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on prominent levels of quality and customer service
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude, open minded, and team player
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Proficient with Auto CAD and / or Revit software
Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations
Flexibility to work adjusted shifts, as necessary
Korean language proficiency a plus
Additional requirements:
This role could require up to 10% of travel (domestic or international)
