The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting energy modeling and building analyses for various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform energy modeling and building analyses using specialized software such as Trane Trace or equivalent.
- Collect relevant data necessary for energy and cost analysis.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate modeling and analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on modeling results to optimize energy efficiency.
- Adapt to work with diverse property types and possess comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems.
- MUST have extensive energy modeling using Trane Trace, eQuest, and WUFI software for various LEED and passive house projects.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in building energy modeling.
- Proficiency with a variety of HVAC systems and familiarity with ASHRAE standards and International Energy Code (IECC).
- Strong report writing, computer, and internet skills.
- Excellent communication and time management abilities.
- Capability to meet deadlines and manage projects within budget constraints.
- Must have over 5 years experience to be considered for this role.
- Registration as an EIT (Engineer-In-Training) or PE is advantageous.
- LEED AP credential is a plus.
