Our Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems business area provides actionable intelligence for our warfighters and decision makers through innovative technical solutions from the seas to the stars. The Tactical Systems (TS) product line is a premier provider of CNI mission solutions with a diverse product offering that includes Identification Friend/Foe (IFF) products and systems, tactical intelligence workstations remote sensing optical systems, and acoustic undersea warfare sensors. BAE Systems is seeking a senior product line director to lead our $400m Tactical Systems portfolio, including leadership of our 600+ team members located in Greenlawn, NY and Hudson/Merrimack, NH. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Key expectations of this role include: Profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the portfolio. Accountable for establishing and delivering upon commitments to our Customers and internal stakeholders. Establishing and deliver upon growth strategies in new, existing and international markets inclusive of discretionary investment needs. Develop close working relationships with diverse customer portfolio in support of current programs, and to help shape future growth opportunities. Deal effectively with senior program level customers and partners and resolve customer issues of a complex nature. Ensuring that programs within the product line receive the necessary support and services from the functional organizations to achieve program objectives. Partner across the matrixed organization to identify and implement continuous improvement efforts to drive efficiencies into the portfolio, thereby enhancing profitability. People centric leadership over a combination of direct people management responsibility and cross functional matrix organization. Provide holistic leadership and promote a positive culture and ensure an environment of accountability, teamwork, inclusiveness and fundamental respect for each person's / organizations' contributions. Program Management talent management and development. Ensuring long term operational efficiency by supporting staff/organizational development across all functional domains Serve as the senior leader resident at our Greenlawn, NY facility. Actively engage in employee events/efforts across the Greenlawn, NY campus and in local community outreach efforts. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Track record of success leading a similarly sized geographically distributed organization delivering at least $400m in annual sales. Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to achieve results through others, including leadership of other leaders. Experience identifying talent opportunities and gaps, along with appropriate with development actions. Ability to understand and communicate with senior leadership regarding program and portfolio performance status (cost/schedule/resources/risk) as well as performance to annual financial objectives. Experience analyzing program and portfolio performance measures and taking relevant corrective action as necessary. Risk and Opportunity management skills at a portfolio level. Experienced in Government contracting. Demonstrated ability as a customer advocate with successful resolution of challenging issues. Demonstrated competency in driving growth through strategic leadership of new market growth and/or growth in international markets through the development of winning proposals. Experience establishing and building customer relationships and the ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries. Demonstrated ability to successfully lead an organization through a crisis using change management skills. This position requires US citizenship status and on-site presence at the Greenlawn New York, Tactical System's headquarters. Further the ability to secure a Top Secret Clearance is required. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Program management experience on large, complex projects responsible for all aspects of project objectives (performance, quality, schedule, cost) Experience leading large and complex, competitive captures. Knowledge of relevant Customers, industrial landscape and acquisition trends across defense program lifecycles Desire to grow to more senior levels in the organization. Experience in industry networking, participating in relevant roles, i.e. advisory boards. Product Line P&L responsibility in a business with a diverse portfolio, including hundreds of contracts and products/services/suppliers and multiple geographic locations. Specific experience preferred includes: International Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales capture and experience Transition to production program experience Leveraged technology across a portfolio leadership and execution Exemplary Risk & Opportunity management skills Supply Chain Management experience. Design for Manufacturing experience on Design and Development program with knowledge of defect elimination/quality, productivity/COPQ

Full-Time Salary Range: $194600 - $330800 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
