As a CMMC-focused Systems Integration Engineer III working in the ISR, Aviation, and Security Business Area, you will be using your skills and expertise to define, design, integrate, test, certify, and support business infrastructure with security in mind. You'll be responsible for driving improvements to our systems to meet demanding program operations requirements, implementing improvements for CMMC best practices, conducting regular CMMC assessments and audits, and collaborating with other teams to establish consistent practices across the business area. Your work will support digitalization efforts for Engineering Tools and realize functional engineering initiatives. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries. Responsibilities: Ensure the IAS Business Area (BA) adheres to CMMC framework and processes.
Conduct regular CMMC assessments and audits.
Implement improvement initiatives to resolve CMMC deficiencies.
Travel to and review BA tools and business infrastructure across multiple IAS sites.
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
Perform and support system hardware assembly and software integration in laboratory environments.
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure. Must-haves: Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams
Understanding and experience with the practical application of requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, technical risk identification, management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
Experience troubleshooting HW/OS/Drivers/Firmware/Network issues.
Proven track record of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX-based systems.
Exceptional knowledge of networking technologies (firewalls, network routers/switches).
Experience in Active Directory and Domain Controller management.
Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure) in a high-availability environment.
Strong team player motivated by team success.
Innovative thinker with good problem solving and communication skills. Preferred: Experience with enterprise Virtual Machine clusters with Cisco UCS Blades, Chassis, Fabric Interconnect configuration.
Experience in backup jobs to critical systems/data with replication to remote site or cloud environments.
Familiarity with Cyber Security Policy enforcement.
Knowledge of the CMMC Cybersecurity model and applicable controls.
Understanding of embedded systems and software that interacts with hardware.
Experience in the GEOINT community.
Familiarity with Air Force, Army, Navy operations.
Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum and Waterfall.
Familiarity with CM/build tools such as Bitbucket and Artifactory. Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38.
